Grade AB, Soft Green/Blue Turquoise smooth rounds - per half strand. These were purchased directly from a well-known manufacturer of high grade Turquoise beads. This stone is natural, matched with other beads of like color to complete the entire strands, and stabilized for longevity (all turquoise on the market is stabilized). The size of the nuggets and their holes (1mm) are approximately uniform in size but do vary from bead to bead in length.

Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green or green-to-blue mineral that is a hydrous phosphate of copper and aluminum and some silver. The more silver, the bluer it is. The more copper, the greener it is. It's origin is worldwide and it is mined worldwide. The finest Turquoise comes from America and Afghanistan. Currently, much of the nicer but more common beads are mined in China. The more blue Turquoise is, the more silver in the stone. The more green Turquoise is, the more copper in the stone.
