Blue lace agate is a member of the chalcedony family - a very hard semi-translucent stone most all of which commonly called agate or named according to color. Chalcedony is often associated with volcanic or metamorphic rock, the heat from which allows the hard, glassy property of agate as well as the micro crystallization that makes agate so interesting. Metaphysically: "Blue Lace Agate is used for clearing away any jitters and promote clarity when speaking publicly. It is said to be a very supportive stone, promoting the acceptance of one's emotions. This calming stone can help those who may be feeling depressed or worried, and is believed to bring peacefulness.
